Privacy Act Information Session
Target audience: All USQ Employees
The purpose of this session is to explore the obligations of USQ under the Information Privacy Act 2009 (Qld).
It is aimed at all employees who deal with other people’s personal information, as well as those employees who are involved in arranging the provision of services to the University where the service provider may deal with any personal information for the University.
The session will explore the use of Threshold Privacy Assessment and Privacy Impact Assessments. If you are starting a new project, or amending an existing system where personal information is involved, it makes sense to factor in privacy when designing, planning and delivering the project or change.
It will also outline how individuals (students, employees, others) may access and amend their personal information under USQ control and what would happen if there was a complaint and/or a breach of privacy.
