Perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Target audience: Any USQ Employee wishing to obtain or update their CPR accreditation.
Materials: Pen. Wear comfortable clothes, you will be required to work on the floor.
This course provides you with the skills and knowledge to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in an emergency situation. It is designed to teach the knowledge and skills necessary to maintain or restore breathing and circulation in an adult, child and infant. The skills and knowledge relate specifically to performing CPR. This course is based on the Australian Resuscitation Council Guidelines. This course includes CPR with defibrillation.
Note: Performing CPR is suitable for maintaining CPR currency of all first aid courses. A certificate is issued to participants that successfully meet the course learning outcomes. CPR training is recommended to be refreshed/renewed every year.
At the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to:
• Identify the reasons for performing CPR
• Carry out effective CPR on a casualty
Queensland Ambulance course materials are provided. All successful participants who receive a Statement of Attainment are covered by "Statement of Attainment Holders' Treatment Risk Liability Insurance".
Cost of this course is $65.00 which is charged to participants' department.
Do not enrol if you have enrolled in Apply First Aid Training as CPR is covered in that course.
