The aim of the workshop is to develop, within the specific USQ formal and semi-formal context, skills and confidence in the area of committee/meeting secretary duties.
At the conclusion of the course participants will be able to:
- Understand the basic principles of meeting protocol
- Prepare a comprehensive and meaningful agenda
- Take effective and useful notes during a meeting
- Write up these notes into clear, concise and coherent minutes
- Effectively carry out post-meeting actions.
This interactive workshop addresses the basic requirements for any employee who performs committee/meeting secretary duties. The workshop is facilitator led, and will include group work and individual practical, hands-on sessions where video footage of a real USQ meeting is used.
