Introduction to the Anti-Discrimination Act

This program will provide employees with the key elements of anti-discrimination legislation in Queensland and give participants a general appreciation of the scope and intent of the Queensland Anti-Discrimination Act 1991.

The program includes legislation content relating to:

  • Direct and indirect discrimination
  • Grounds of discrimination
  • Vilification and victimisation
  • Complaints process
  • Sexual harassment
  • Workplace harassment
  • Vicarious liability
  • Case Study Discussion.

This workshop is faciliated by Beth Incognito (Anti-Discrimination Commission Queensland).

Pre-requisite:

It would be recommended that participants complete Module 1 of the EO Online program within the last 2 years.
