Introduction to the Anti-Discrimination Act for Managers and Supervisors
Target audience: All USQ Managers and Supervisors
Materials: Nil
This program will provide managers and supervisors with an understanding of the Queensland Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 and their responsibilities under the Act, particular in relation to vicarious liability. The course aims to assist organisations in creating discrimination- and harassment-free workplaces.
The program includes legislation content relating to:
- Discrimination, workplace harassment and sexual harassment
- Vilification, vicarious liability and reasonable steps
- Complaint handling
- Case study discussion
Pre-requisite:
All participants need to have completed both Module 1 and Module 2 of the EO Online program within the last 2 years.
This half day (4 hours) workshop is facilitated by a trainer from the Anti-Discrimination Commission Queensland.
