Supervisor Accreditation 2: Developing Positive Research Supervision Relationships

Target audience: Supervisors of research students

This two hour workshop explores different ways of supervising. It aims to assist supervisors to develop positive relationships with their students. Strategies and techniques to develop an understanding between supervisors and students about supervision expectations are the focus of this workshop.

The workshop aims to:

1. Share lessons learned from being a research student and from supervising research students.
2. Provide supervisors with strategies and resources on which to build a productive working relationship

The workshop may also help supervisors to form a 'community' to share practice, increase confidence, efficiency and effectiveness as supervisors.

Refreshments will be provided after the workshop.
